Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been successfully used for thousands of years to treat many different conditions. Very thin, sterile needles are superficially inserted in specific acupuncture points located along energy pathways in the body with the intention to bring the body in a state of balance by creating a physiological response such as improving blood flow and releasing endorphins. Acupuncture has been used to relieve pain conditions, reduce inflammation, increase blood circulation and relax the nervous system. Acupuncture is typically not painful, usually patients feel a gentle tap on the skin and find it very relaxing.
